PARTNERSTVÍ NA NOVÉM EU PROJEKTU

Hledáme partnery, kteří s námi budou spolupracovat na žádosti o nový evropský grant pro rok 2013-2014.

Dear colleagues,

I write to you as artistic director of Motus Prague - producers of the Alfred ve dvoře theatre and more.

We are looking for co-organizers and partners, mostly in the new EU countries, who will work together with us to apply for an EU CULTURE grant for 2013-2014.

Interested organizations should, like us:

-have at least five years experience producing the devised* work of independent innovating performing artists (live art, devised* theatre, visual performance, contemporary dance, other artistic cross-over and new forms)
-have excellent organizational skills and financial responsibility
-be committed to developing the work of other artists (not just own artistic group)
-have excellent awareness of situation of independent performing arts makers in their country and region
-work outside of traditional arts institutions and genres
-preferably have own rehearsal and performance space, or affordable access to such space
-be willing to travel, share and consult ideas and approaches

Main goals and expected results of our common project would be:

-development of cultural organizations and production houses into European residency centres
-to professionalize independent innovating performing arts creators and production teams
-a rigorous and demanding open application and selection process for the very best innovative works of authentic live art
-to offer artists time for concentration and development in rehearsal accommodations and facilities for the residency periods in at least two member cities
-to create and strengthen cross-border cooperation between such artists and production teams
-the presentation of resulting works in at least four partner countries
-coordination of programming between all partner production houses

*devised performance: collaborative process where the architecture of the performance, form, content and creative roles are not fixed from the start

About Motus Prague: For ten years we have helped independent artists develop new performing art works in Prague. We now plan to become a European residency centre for artists.
