SECRETION

We live in a place full of magic that we can only seldom see, and we often grope in the dark. When the magic moment comes, everything starts shining like a falling star… The performance SECRETION has partly been inspired by Spain and the poetry of the Saint John of the Cross. It ranges somewhere between reality and a dream world, romantic drama and the rationality of our time. Neither the story nor the plot is important here, only the essence of emotions, love, and fear hidden in everyone of us. It is the essence of what we don’t or do like speaking about in public, what we hide away or consciously or unconsciously deny. It tells about the way we take, lose, and find again. Secretion is the first full-length performance by Alena Ditrichová. It is a mixture of movement theatre, dance, pantomime, and isolated words.
