ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Eliska Brtnicka (1983) competed in acrobatic Rock’n’roll for ten years. She plays the violin and regularly visits juggling courses. Since 2005 she has been a student at the Department of Non-verbal and Comedial Theatre at HAMU University in Prague. She made a guest appearance in Don Pasquale, an opera staged in Prague National Theatre in 2005. In 2006 she worked with the Continuo theatre on a piece entitled Vakokodeska. In 2007 she studied at the Magenia pantomime studio in Paris, visited acrobatics courses in the Noctambules Circus in Nanterre near Paris. She works with the T.E.J.P. theatre on performances called Edisoni, Mars na Maus and Saltimbango.
Jakub Skrdla (1974) graduated from the Department of Drama of the Theatre Faculty of JAMU University (the year of Prof. Josef Karlik) and studied at the zero grade of the Department of Non-verbal and Comedial Theatre at HAMU University in Prague under the supervision of Ctibor Turba. He has made guest appearances in repertoire-based theatres in Kladno, Mlada Boleslav and others. He has been an actor in the Horacke theatre in Jihlava and now in the National theatre in Brno. In 2000/2001 he founded the T.E.J.P. theatre which realised a lot of site-specific projects (Divadlo na trati, Opava in Europe festival, Saltimbango in Jihlava) and staged independent open air performances, such as Mars na Maus, Manus, Saltimbango, Edisoni, Mysterium Svet.
Both actors have participated in workshops on a trapeze conducted by Jana Korb of Berlin in 2006.
