An “cyberpunk“ modification of the classical myth based on contemporary dramatist Roman Sikora´s The Removal of Antigone.
“The title uses one of Antigone’s lines in the text. But who makes whom depart? Does Antigone make the antigonist forces depart? Or is it Antigone that must depart because of mainstream social forces? Throughout the entire piece, Antigone forces the other people around her to ‘depart’, but is eventually removed herself from the world.”
This performance originates from the workshop held by independent theatre association TYAN in Pilsen. It is a provocative production full of unusual theatre techniques combined with modern technology.
