WORKSHOP OF ACTING AND MOVEMENT

.:.25.+26.11.:. The workshop will concentrate in different aspects and forms of stage movement, actors relation to space and other actors, and to actors quality of stage presence. The focus is in the performer and the discovery of new points of view. The workshop is practice based, so participants need to bring with them clothes that fit for physical exercises and dance.

The workshop is aimed for people with minimum 3-4 years of experience in acting (it can be also amateur/theatre school) and interest in developing their skills in theatre. People from other genres of performing arts are welcomed. Previous dance experience is not necessary. An open mind towards working with movement is however essential. The teaching language is English.

The teacher of the workshop is Jenni Kokkomäki, actress and director from Finland. She is studying the borderline of theatre and dance in her works. She has a BA degree in Theatre and Drama. She has also widely studied physical and visual theatre, dance and visual arts in Czech Republic, Norway, Estonia and Finland. Besides her performance work in Finland and abroad, her work as an actress/dancer have been seen for example in NoD, Divadlo Na Zabradli and Divadlo ALFREDVEDVORE stages in Praha. Her repertoire varies from working with experimental and realistic theatre, modern dance, performance art, street theatre and operetta.

Workshop is held between tuesday and wednesday
25.-26.11.2008
in the small stage of ALFREDVEDVORE, 4 hours per day. The working time is at 11am-3pm.
The price of the workshop is 400kc (or 200kc per day, but it is not possible to participate only for wednesday. It is possible to participate for only tuesday.)

Number of participants is limited. (But because of last minute cancellations it’s possible to come in to the workshop just on the day when it starts and see if there are free places.)
