The theme of this inspiring workshop led by the Mexican director Rubén Ortiz, will be “the new role of the actor-performer in New Theatre“. In contemporary performance, the work of the actor lies not just in the representation of a character but also in the use of the performer’s live presence, in front of a live audience. A basic tool of this creative process is the physical work.
The workshop is mainly composed of physical exercises and discussions, which reflect the onstage presence of the performer. The two-day workshop is intended for actors, performers, directors, and theatre school students. We recommend loose clothing and light sport shoes. To all applicants: workshop capacity limited!
