STEREOPRESENCE / Cristina Maldonado

Work in progress
performance length: 60 min
no language barrier
Every ordinary moment holds the potential of an extraordinary moment. Using a video installation, performer Cristina Maldonado reveals folds and layers in the present moment, as if rewinding a short period of time back and forth until she can open up a narrow crack in non-reality, demonstrated by optical feedback, where real objects and relationships are condensed in fractal patterns articulated by a language unknown to us. The performance uses an optical combination of real time video and live action, optical feedback and audio feedback as the soundtrack. Feedback thematizes the moment in which emptiness is transforms into fullness.
