SE.S.TA Festival
Work in progress
performance length: min
The final public presentation of nine young European choreographers who take part in a dance study held as part of the SE.S.TA Festival – KoresponDance Europe. The festival organised by the SE.S.TA association – Setkavani soucasneho tance (Meeting of Contemporary Dance).
The presentation presents the world of choreography to professionals as well as the public. The audience may recognise the space the choreographers work in, the questions they ask and how they work with them, what principles they use and how they develop. Young choreographers and their “coaches” are to comment on their joint work during the study and to present the results of their choreographies as “work in progress”. The evening will end up with a debate and snacks.
The coached workshop will be held in Prague in 26–31 October 2009 and conducted by the French choreographers Jean-Christophe Paré, Dominique Boivin and Béatrice Massin.
