For the first of May, the day for those in love, Františka Křížka Street explodes into bloom with a city festival. Refreshments, flea market, workshops, music, films, theatre, weddings, vows - all this and more!

FRANTIŠEK'S LOVES follows on the heels of our successful autumn event A Different City Experience, now stylishly dressed in the colours of May: with green grass, flowers, balloons and trees in bloom. Refreshing drinks, food and music to be tasted in the shade of parasols. With a paddling pool, a dancefloor, a flea market and more, Františka Křížka Street will be transformed beyond recognition!
Hosted by Saša Michailidis from Radio One, with music under the direction of his colleague DJ Filip Týc. From two in the afternoon till eight at night specially-chosen films in Bio Oko cinema, and live performance samples in the Alfred ve dvoře Theatre. Meanwhile right in the street juggling, ping-pong and rope skipping, stands with all kinds of snacks plus events specially chosen to suit the occasion – wedding costume rental service, workshops for wedding-ring-making, a photobooth for your wedding snapshots and for the most courageous (or those blinded by love) a special corner where personalities from the world
of arts and culture will officiate marriages between anyone and everyone ...
Street events of this type are accommodating to cyclists and new ideas for travel and transport in our city. Thus Františka Křížka Street will also be the setting for a picnic gathering of participants in the Bike to Work project as well as a “checkpoint“ for the giant cross-Europe critical mass cycle ride organized by Cycle 4 Change.
