FRANTIŠEK’S LOVES 2015 / Motus o.s. & Bio Oko

World Love II. A block party of love on Františka Křížka Street.
performance length: 360 min
no language barrier
It's the third annual celebration of the first of May presented by Motus, producers of the Alfred ve dvoře Theatre and the Bio Oko cinema. Could this atypical event be turning into a tradition? This love-packed street festival is our yearly confirmation that spring is in full force and that love indeed exists. We mix these two magic ingredients in Františka Křížka Street and, hey presto! the Autonomous Cultural Republic of Prague 7 will expand not only into the whole of Prague and its suburbs, but into the world at large, maybe even the cosmos. The event takes places under the auspices of: migratory birds, blue skies, sheer joy, musical rhythms, bright colours and the Prague 7 City District. Even in the event of rain, spring and love will march on.

This year it is seventy years since the end of the last world war. We will remember this event with a guided tour of Letná, films in the Bio Oko cinema and a heightened awareness of the scents and colours of the blooming lilacs that were crammed into both Soviet and American tanks at the time and which became a quiet symbol of Czechoslovakia's liberation.

The Alfred ve dvoře Theatre also present performances for kids Prisoners of Space by the Wariot Ideal group and Sapphire Head by Handa Gote Research and Development. Further event details to be announced soon.
