FOUTAISE / Compagnie Des Pieds Perchés (CH)
International Guest
performance length: 50 min
things between ropes and the earth: stunning vertical rope acrobatics and comedy for the entire family
no language barrier
"Besides presenting excellent acrobatic skills, Foutaise is a playful and exuberant performance thanks to its original direction and funny situations. In their show Morgane and Stéphanie created a peculiar world made of ropes, strings and various cords.” (Dana Jará, Divadelní noviny)
Foutaise is a unique performance of acrobatics on aerial ropes, and it combines acrobatic skills, theatrical elements and a great sense of humour.
These two Swiss performers use their aerial ropes to weave a playful tale for all audiences. The ropes sometimes bind and even intertwine them, bringing them together or sometimes separating them, here a rope makes a bridge for them, and there it is an obstacle. Their rope work provides both comic situations and dangerous stunts. The ropes aren't just the means of a battle with gravity, they also represent sprays of water, streams, or a bridge, and thanks to them the acrobats create their own language in a new world.
These up and coming women acrobates use all the elements available onstage, above all using each other's body strength and stability to push the boundaries of what is possible in aerial acrobatics.
