AN EXTRAORDINARY INTERNATIONAL EVENT! A dance performance created by Silke Grabinger with three adult performers and three Czech child dancers.
Performance on April 5th is a part of Czech Dance Platform. Both April performances are in English.
When will the huge change come about that might allow us to reinvent our situation? Stillness is an impervious system that keeps re-creating the same thing time and again: it is a controlled environment, like a vacuum created for an experiment. The stillness before the storm. Until suddenly the right conditions come for the disaster, upheaval, chaos, catastrophe that both arise from change and create change. Disaster and its consequences are eclipsed by the explosive creativity of future in the making.
This performance speaks of the imagery and images of possible future narratives. Disaster and catastrophe are the departing point for its imaginary journey. A journey of liberation in which we look towards the desired resurrection, in which we allow or wish for the New and find ways to give order to the New, both as individuals and as a society.

SILK Fluegge is an artist collective for urban contemporary dance and art. Their works include performances in theatres, interventions in museums and public spaces and arts and cultural mediation. SILK Fluegge got honoured with the "STELLA 15" an Award for an outstanding theatre production for young people in the year 2015 and several recognitions for performances and artistic work in the last years aimed at youth and children development.
