FIESTA 05 international Czech-Mexican project

As part of the FIESTA 05 project, Motus o.s. – the production of the Alfred ve dvore theatre is holding an Audition x Workshop for the performance team for an international Czech–Mexican co-production project. The audition is to be held on 30 and 31 May between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The aim of the audition workshop is to select 4 Czech artists who will be offered professional conditions by us and the opportunity to participate in the creation of a new performance.
The new performance of Alfred ve dvore will be created under the supervision of 2 outstanding Mexican artists – the director and visual artist Hector Bourges Valles and the writer and director Ruben Ortiz. The rehearsals will take 6 weeks (19/09/2005 – 02/11/2005) in Prague. The first night is scheduled for 02 November 2005 and 3 reprises will follow. Further reprises are anticipated in 2006.
The subject of the drama work will be the principle of dislodgement, imbalance and displacement in relation to various social circumstances. Ruben and Hector want to work with situations which make us dislodged or inexact, or which actuate changes in our social position and conditions, such as emigration, kidnapping, exile, tourism or sacking. The acting part will focus, besides other, on physical exercises, meditation and preparation to be able to revise and control one’s own acting experience.
Conditions of participation:
– Previous professional work in the field of motion, experimental and author theatre
– Active skills in English
– 100% presence during the autumn preparation of the project (6 weeks on weekdays, 8 hours per day)
– Interest in giving reprises in 2006
